14. Anything else? My parents are both retired teachers. At one time, the three of us were teaching at the same school together. I am a person who likes to have my things organized at all times and work very hard to make sure things are in order. Along with three other teachers in the county, we are NAACP Youth Advisors. I received an Outstanding Teacher Award from MAACA (Charlottesville) in 1994. One of the things I try to teach my students is respect for themselves and respect for others.

Hobbies? Unusual interests? What are they?: My favorite pass time is reading financial books! Suze Orman is my favorite author. Wood working is also a hobby of mine. I like to build bird houses and other small things.

We made Louisa our home shortly after our interviews. We have now resided in Louisa County for nearly 30 years. Family and education are my life priorities.

I am happy to be able to return to LCHS to teach!
